Student of the Month Aaliyah

Student of the Month (student of the month)Aaliyah & Veronica (mom) attended. Aaliyah is an outstanding young lady!   She carries a tough load of classes including several honors courses, and participates in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Westwood.    Aaliyah has a strong passion for learning and a genuine interest in education.  She holds a weighted GPA of 3.974 and is currently ranked in the top 8% of  her graduating class.  In addition to her academic achievements, Aaliyah also carves out time in her schedule to help others.  She has been active in working with the Mesa Firefighter  Association's pancake breakfasts, helping out with Toys for Tots, and has recently taken on the challenge of being a peer tutor for a struggling Freshman student at Westwood.  Aaliyah really stretches herself and works beyond what most people think would be possible.  She has great insight and an outstanding  work ethic.  Congratulations on being selected the Sunrise Rotary Student of the Month!
