Glen & Leslie Steiner Obituary
 

The following obituary was published on November 19, 2013. Our hearts are heavy as we grieve.

Leslie T. Steiner (51) and Glen R. Steiner (48) of Mesa, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday November 10, 2013, while vacationing in the Bahamas. Leslie was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, the daughter of Arlene (Mentor) Blevins and Calvin Blevins. Leslie graduated from West Valley High School in 1980. After many years of working at Farnam, she joined Glen at One Call Plumbing. She was an avid animal lover, had a tenacious love for life, and was involved in CrossFit, where she enjoyed much personal accomplishment. Glen was born in Connersville, Indiana, the son of Hazel Zane and Bob Steiner. He went to Connersville High, class of 1983. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1985. Glen worked in the plumbing industry for nearly thirty years. He was owner of One Call Plumbing Services in Mesa. He was a hard worker and enjoyed serving his community. He was a member of many organizations: BNI, PHCC (Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors), President of Mesa Sunrise Rotary, Mesa Chamber of Commerce, Marc Center, Salvation Army, United Food Bank, EVBB, and Superstition Leads Group. The family is working on establishing a scholarship fund in Glen's name through PHCC. Glen and Leslie were married November 8, 1997. They had a passion for serving their community. They worked hard but also knew how to have fun, traveling and getting to know other cultures. They were partners in business as well as life. Glen and Leslie were survived by two sons: Rob Steiner (Sarele) and Joshua Steiner (Cara); Glen's mother Hazel Zane and Leslie's father Calvin Blevins; and siblings Gregg Steiner, Brett Steiner (Mary), David Blevins, and Jeff Blevins (Kris), along with grandchildren. Leslie was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Blevins, and step-daughter Alicia Steiner. Glen was preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia Steiner, and his father Bob Steiner. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 23rd, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lehi Stake Center (LDS Chapel), 1430 North Grand, Mesa, AZ 85201, followed by interment at Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, AZ 85201. In lieu of flowers, the families of Glen and Leslie ask that all memorial contributions be sent to the Salvation Army in their name.
