Celeste Winters give presentation of Fundraising and Public Relations
 
Celeste Winters joined Marc Community Resources in November 2012 as a consultant from the Encore Fellowship program of the nonprofit organization Experience Matters of Phoenix. A West Virginia native who relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1996, Celeste has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, including 15 in executive director positions for arts and social service organizations. Areas of expertise are fundraising, marketing and program development – including two programs on behalf of the disability community: a college program for students with intellectual and developmental delays for Civitan Foundation Phoenix and, early in her career, an accessibility project for a performing arts theatre in Kentucky that resulted in an Award of Merit from the National Endowment for the Arts. Celeste is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Certified Advanced Facilitator. She earned a Bachelor degree in Journalism/News and Master in Journalism/Public Relations from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Celeste has been a consultant with her business Calliope Inc. since 2001 and Associate Faculty for University of Phoenix since 1997. She received an Outstanding Faculty Award at Spring 2011 Commencement, and her short story The Back Corner Booth is published in the best-selling book Chicken Soup for the Working Woman’s Soul.
