Barb Feder, Past District Governor for Rotary District 5510 and District Chairman for the Rotary Foundation visited the Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club and gave a fun historic presentation on the development of Rotary International over the years, wearing her 'Miss Tilly' hat. Barb also explained the importance of each Rotarian supporting the Rotary Foundation. Barb encouraged all club members to participate and seek to gain the Triple Crown Award, which is awarded to Rotarians in the District who are Paul Harris Fellows, donate to the $100 Every Rotarian Every Year Campaign, and also contribute a one-time $1,000 donation either as a cash donation, or codicil to a will or life insurance policy, leaving this amount to be donated to the permanent fund.

Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club President and Mesa Assistant Fire Chief Mary Cameli gives Barb Feder a special Dove of Peace Rotary pin, as a thank you for speaking to the club. Barb said she will plan to wear the pin when she participates in a focus group panel discussion on promoting peace at the Rotary Peace Conference in Palm Springs, California. It is always a pleasure to have Barb visit our club!

Rotary club members Mesa PD Chief Bill Peters, PDG Mel Spowart, Pam Stewart, Sue Douglas, Teri Davis and Glenn Steiner (shown in photos) are a few of the club members in attendance today.

Club Secretary Hattie Harris does a great job managing the club secretary duties for Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club, and also works as club secretary for several other Mesa Rotary clubs.
